What to Do When My Lease Ends – FAQ

When you are nearing the end of the lease for your INFINITI, you may want to know what to do at the end of the term. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that will help make the end of the lease experience a good one.  

What options do I have at the end of my lease? 

There are a few options available. You can return your INFINITI to us. If you love your INFINITI and would like to keep it after the lease term is over, you also have the option to purchase it outright. If you love the experience of your current INFINITI and would like to try a newer version or another model, we can facilitate a new lease on the next vehicle.  

How do I return my leased INFINITI at the end of the lease? 

You can return your INFINITI to our dealership. If you happen to move away from your original dealership, you may arrange to return your vehicle to the nearest INFINITI retailer. Before you return your INFINITI, contact us or your nearest INFINITI retailer.  

Am I required to get my leased INFINITI inspected before returning it? 

It is required, but it is also complimentary. It is suggested that you schedule your inspection within the last two months of your lease. That will give you enough time to make repairs if your vehicle has excessive wear and use. Alliance Inspection Management (“AIM”) facilitates your pre-return inspection. What should I do if I approach my mileage limit? 

Whenever you encounter an issue with the terms of your lease, especially when you reach your mileage limit, please contact us. If you contact us ahead of time, we can work with you to avoid or lessen excess mileage charges upon returning your leased INFINITI. 

What if I exceed my mileage limit? 

If you exceed the mileage allowed under your Lease Agreement, you will be responsible for paying the per-mile charge for excess miles driven. If this happens, please refer to your agreement for miles allowed and excess mileage charges. This charge is assessed if the vehicle is returned at the end of your lease. If you purchase your leased INFINITI, you will not be charged for excess miles.   

What if I want to replace my INFINITI with a new one? 

Before you do, please schedule an inspection to see what needs to be done prior to your return. After your pre-inspection and the completion of any repairs that were required to your leased INFINITI, then contact us to schedule an appointment before the two final lease payments are paid to go over options on a new lease – including participating in INFINITI’s new SignatureFLEX lease program – and, to apply the *Loyalty waiver towards your next lease. Check out our inventory to see if there is a new INFINITI you might be interested in leasing when you return your current one.  

What if I want to purchase my leased INFINITI? 

If you choose to purchase your current leased INFINITI, the price is based on what was agreed to when you initially signed your lease. Your lease may require you to pay incidental charges such as sales tax, vehicle registration, a purchase option fee, or other miscellaneous charges. Contact us to make an appointment prior to the end of your lease to discuss which options are available to you. If available, we can assist you in arranging financing to purchase your current vehicle. By purchasing your leased INFINITI, you will not be responsible for any excess mileage or excessive wear and use charges. A pre-return inspection will not be required. 

What if I want to return my leased INFINITI at the of the term? 

Before you do, please schedule a pre-return inspection to see what repairs need to be done prior to your return. After completing your repairs, please return your INFINITI to our dealership. If you happen to move away from your original dealership, you may arrange to return your vehicle back to the nearest INFINITI retailer near you. Before you return your INFINITI, contact us or your nearest INFINITI retailer.
