​​2025 INFINITI QX60 vs. 2025 Lexus TX: Choose Your Three-Row Champion​

In case you haven’t heard, the updated 2025 INFINITI QX60 has some fresh new competition from its rivals at Lexus. The Texas-bred Lexus TX arrived last year as the Toyota luxury subsidiary’s first long-wheelbase model with three rows of seating. How does the 2025 INFINITI QX60 stack up against this new premium three-row crossover? Let’s break it down.  

Do you care about looks? 

The Lexus TX is new and interesting to look at, but if you contemplate it long enough, you can’t help but be reminded that it shares a great deal with the Toyota Grand Highlander. The 2025 INFINITI QX60 wears its upscale exterior more elegantly, with taut lines and available upgrades that accentuate its sporty character.  

The 2025 INFINITI QX60 offers a more engaging experience 

On paper, the QX60 and the standard TX are pretty well-matched. The standard QX60 offers 268 horsepower to the TX’s 275, and they weigh about the same amount. They’re so close, in fact, that even without the help of hybridization, the standard QX60 offers better fuel economy across the board.  

While the Lexus TX is regarded as a competent and efficient form of transportation, it has not been praised for its performance, which is considered adequate but uninspiring. While the TX hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants offer more power (and some efficiency improvements), they also add weight, and their improved straight-line acceleration comes at the cost of cornering—one of the TX’s already less-than-flattering attributes.  

A more inspiring, feature-rich cabin 

The 2025 INFINITI QX60 and the 2025 Lexus TX offer similar front headroom, front leg room, and rear shoulder room. The Lexus has the advantage in cargo space and rear headroom due to its length. It measures five inches longer than the QX60 from nose to tail, making it trickier to park in tight parking spaces or garages.  

The updated INFINITI QX60’s cabin also offers more panache than the TX’s, which comes across as utilitarian by comparison. It may be roomier and offer more cargo volume, but it’s simply less interesting to look at. The QX60 also offers standard equipment on the base model that requires a higher trim level on the Lexus, including park assist and a sunroof, all at a starting price that undercuts the TX by about $5,000.
