​​A Closer Look Reveals the Many Changes in the 2026 QX60​

It may not look different at a quick glance, but INFINITI’s three-row crossover, the QX60, has significant new changes for the 2026 model year, many of them derived from the QX80 flagship model. The QX60 mission to offer comfortable transportation for a driver and three rows of passengers in luxurious surroundings and eye-catching style remains unchanged. Dick Smith INFINITI highlights some features of this exciting 2026 model. 

Last year, INFINITI replaced the 3.5-liter V6 with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that features the manufacturer’s exclusive variable compression technology, delivering 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. This year introduces a nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Paddle shifters, which are particularly useful on steep inclines and declines, are standard across the entire model lineup, and the transmission logic adjusts according to the selected drive mode. Fuel economy remains consistent at 22/28/24 mpg (city/highway/combined) for front-wheel drive (FWD) models and nearly identical at 22/27/24 mpg with Intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD). 

All new for 2026, the SPORT grade is positioned between LUXE and AUTOGRAPH. It offers a more provocative look with its own diamond-themed grille trim, gloss black wheel finish, and other exterior accents. Like the AUTOGRAPH, the SPORT is AWD only and includes standard second-row captain’s chairs. The interior features a Dusk Blue color scheme with a black headliner and additional upgrades over the LUXE. 

Outside, all models except the SPORT feature a grille with vertical bars that match the sloping angle of the grille sides and are inspired by the vertical and intersecting lines of a bamboo forest. An open space below gives the grille a floating look, and the daytime running lights (DRLs) above the headlights feature seven separate segments. The rear view is cleaner with a simplified rear bumper that is slightly lower, revealing a body-color panel. From the side, all models feature 20-inch wheels that vary in appearance depending on the trim level. 

Larger changes lie inside. PURE, LUXE, and SPORT grades feature a TailorFit® seating surface, which is softer and more durable than other non-leather surfaces. It is composed of 65% recycled materials. The AUTOGRAPH features semi-aniline leather in a stitched pattern inspired by a kimono wrap. 

The dash design stays the same, but behind the 12.3-inch center touchscreen is a new Google Built-in operating system, which is fast, intuitive, and offers standard Google Maps navigation without needing a smartphone connection. The system also includes a Google Assistant voice recognition feature, allowing you to use natural language commands like “Hey Google, turn on my heated seat” or “Hey Google, navigate to my office.”  Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration is wireless.  

Also new are premium audio systems by Klipsch Audio Technologies, known for high-end home loudspeaker systems. The LUXE and SPORT models feature a 16-speaker setup that includes four 1-inch titanium dome tweeters, a 12-channel amplifier delivering 600 watts, and an 8-inch TriPower® subwoofer. The AUTOGRAPH grade offers an even more immersive Klipsch Reference Premiere system with a 24-channel amplifier and two speakers in each front headrest. This setup allows the driver to hear navigation guidance or take a phone call without disturbing other passengers, who can continue enjoying music. Conversely, the driver can listen to music privately while the rest of the cabin rests. 

The AUTOGRAPH grade is available with ProPILOT 2.1, marking a first for the QX60. This hands-free driving system operates on pre-mapped highways across the U.S. In-dash graphics show when you can remove your hands from the wheel and feet from the pedals. The driver is expected to remain attentive and can take back control at any time.  

The QX60 has starting MSRPs ranging from $51,200 for the PURE to $66,150 for the AUTOGRAPH. It is built in Smyrna, Tennessee, which should help keep prices in check if tariffs become an issue.
