The 2025 INFINITI QX50 offers customers a lot of luxury and sportiness for a crossover SUV without breaking the bank. For 2025, INFINITI has upgraded the compact luxury SUV to feature all-wheel drive as standard, which was previously an option on most trims, while standard on the top trim level. All QX50 models come with a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo 4-cylinder that delivers 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a continuously variable transmission, or CVT, for a combination of sporty and efficient. The engine features variable compression turbocharging technology that gives drivers the power of a V6 but the fuel efficiency of an inline-4. In the hands of Car and Driver, the QX50 was able to run from 0 to 60 mph in only 6.4 seconds, which is quite an achievement for a luxury-sport SUV.  

Base Price and Trim Levels 

The QX50 starts at $44,350 and is available in three trim levels: Pure, Luxe, and Sport.  

Fuel Economy 

Buyers will appreciate the EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 city and 28 highway mpg, with 25 mpg combined. That’s better than the 23 combined mpg of the Acura MDX and 24 mpg of Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio.  

How Does the QX50 Drive? 

In Kelley Blue Book’s test, journalist Nelson Ireson was very complimentary of the INFINITI, saying, “The QX50’s ride quality is smooth and soothing, perfect for long road trips. The steering is precise and accurate … The QX50’s front seats are very comfortable, notably so even in the already comfortable luxury compact SUV segment. On Luxe and Sport trims, the driver and passenger seats are heated, and the Sport also gets cooled front seats. All QX50 front seats are 8-way power-adjustable.” 

More Cargo Space Than Its More Expensive Rivals 

An SUV is all about space, and the QX50 does not deviate from that. Behind the rear seats, owners will find 31.4 cubic feet of cargo space and 65.1 cu.ft. when the seats are folded. This is quite a bit more than rivals such as the Audi Q5 (25.9 / 54.1) and BMW X3 (28.7 / 62.7), which start from $54,090 and $51,125; far north of the $44,350 base price of the INFINITI.  

Great Standard Tech 

INFINITI has brought great standard technology to the QX50, including Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad, and four USB ports. All models come with the INFINITI InTouch infotainment system, which has an 8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch touchscreen below it that controls multiple things at once in the vehicle. The QX50 Sport is standard with a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, which is also optional on the Luxe model.

Like all INFINITI vehicles, the QX50 comes standard with excellent safety technology that aids in keeping everyone in the car safe. The safety features include Lane Departure Warning, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist, and ProPILOT Assist that keeps the vehicle centered in the lane and keeps the car at a constant speed while staying a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
