How Do Car Seats Fit in the INFINITI QX60?

The three-row INFINITI QX60 is updated for 2025, receiving a new engine and fresh interior features. While not as large as the full size QX80, the SUV offers a family-friendly cabin with generous space across all three rows of seating. Cars.com recently put the luxury family hauler to the test, installing car seats in the second and third rows to determine how well the little ones fit. 

The publication tested the QX60 Luxe trim, which has a bench seat in the second row and two seats in the third row. Though it seats three across on the middle bench, Cars.com found that the QX60 was too narrow overall to fit three car seats. Despite that, the SUV earned an A score for its LATCH system, which features two sets of exposed anchors in the second row with easy access and use. 

The second-row seat also scored top marks for infant seats, rear-facing convertible seats, and forward-facing convertible seats. It earned a B for booster seat use (no pun intended), with Cars.com noting that children may have difficulty grabbing and using the small seatbelt buckles. 

The publication noted the third-row seat’s easy access, awarding it an A for its large access opening and ability to fold the second-row seats out of the way with a car seat installed. It also scored well for its LATCH system, but car seats didn’t fit as well in the “wayback” due to limited space. 

Forward-facing convertible seats were easy to install in the third row, but the SUV had a fixed headrest that pushed the car seat off the seatback. There was also somewhat limited legroom in the third row. Booster seats scored a C, with the third row being too narrow and having too little legroom. The headrest also interfered with booster seatbacks. 

Cargo space is also an important metric, and the QX60 doesn’t disappoint. It features 41.6 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 75.4 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded flat. While it’s limited to 14.5 cubic feet with the third-row seats upright, the SUV offers under-floor storage, and a hands-free power liftgate is optional.
