INFINITI QX80 Earns Top Honors from the Texas Auto Writers Association

The all-new INFINITI QX80 has only been on dealership lots for a short period of time, and already it has racked up some of the most impressive accolades in the automotive industry. The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) recently declared it to be its choice for Best New Interior and Best Interior. It was awarded second in Luxury Vehicle and third in the Best Exterior category. The available and other-worldly Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio system took home third place for Best New Feature.

Trim Levels and that Extra Special Engine 

Buyers can choose between four trim levels on the 2025 QX80 that include Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph. Pure and Luxe models get standard rear-wheel drive (RWD), with All-Mode four-wheel drive (4WD) optional. The top Sensory and Autograph trims feature standard 4WD. INFINITI gave the all-new QX80 a very special engine, the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that is derived from the engine that’s in the Nissan GTR, in this case making 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque with a nine-speed automatic.

As a member of that special group, it means the large SUV comes standard with some of the most impressive and advanced safety equipment on the market. These brilliant safety features include Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Intervention, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and Trailer Blind Spot Warning for towing anything up to 33 feet long. All models come with standard ProPILOT Assist 1.1, which uses Intelligent Cruise Control and lane keeping systems to keep the vehicle centered and at a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you. Autograph models come standard with ProPILOT Assist 2.1, while Luxe and Sensory models can be optioned with this feature. Optioning ProPILOT Assist 2.1 allows drivers to take their hands off the wheel and relax while the INFINITI handles the steering on highway drives.
