​​Keeping Your Pets Safe All Year Round​

Traveling with our pets can be a challenge. During the summer, the climate in South Carolina can be potentially harmful to your pets, especially when they are away from home.  However, we love to take our pets with us in our vehicles.  There are ways to do so in your INFINITI that will be enjoyable and safe.  

Before you take off on a trip with your pet, prepare your vehicle to make sure it is comfortable and safe. Protect the seats with covers. Pack a kit that includes bowls, water, food, bags for waste, and their medications.  

As your pets get comfortable, always secure them inside your INFINITI. A pet carrier is one way to go. Make sure it fits your pet and inside your INFINITI SUV’s cargo hold. Otherwise, your pet will be uncomfortable. It may also lead to potential health issues. One solution is to secure the carrier in the cargo area to avoid any movement.  

If your pet does not like being “caged,” a harness works to let them be “free” and relaxed on the second-row seats.  

The advantage of using pet harnesses and carriers is that they are crash tested for maximum protection from harm. This is to ensure they protect your pet from harm in your vehicle. You can also add a back seat barrier for larger pets that need room to roam.  

Now that your pet is secure inside your INFINITI, there are a few more things to look out for to keep them comfortable inside your INFINITI. No matter how hot or cold it is outside, keep the climate control system running. That way, they can stay warm and cool while you are in the road.  

Also, please consider taking your pet out of our INFINITI when you are parked. It is a habit that we keep them inside while we run an errand. However, the cabin can be less comfortable inside than on the outside. That will cause your pet to get sick. Opening the windows inside your INFINITI might not help, especially when the weather is too hot or cold.
