The QX55 Is A Marvelous SUV

In the immortal words of the late great Fernando Lamas, the INFINITI QX55 looks “mahvelous, dahling.” For the 2025 model year, the INFINITI QX55 is so good that it’s returning unchanged. Engine And Performance

The 2025 QX55 certainly doesn’t need any fixing, as it’s pretty perfect, just the way it is. With a 2.0-liter VC turbocharged four-cylinder that is combined with an XTRONIC continuously variable transmission (CVT), the INFINITI puts out 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and puts the power to the pavement via standard all-wheel drive. The VC stands for variable compression, which allows the engine to adjust the piston length by milliseconds in real-time. While this technology isn’t necessarily new, only Nissan and INFINITI have been able to perfect it and put it into a proper production engine. With an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, the coupe-like crossover is also frugal for you, too. 

Interior Dimensions And Features

Even though the INFINITI has a coupe-like design, there is still plenty of room behind the second-row seats. With the seats in place, owners will have 26.9 cu.ft. of cargo capacity that grows to 54.1 cu.ft. when the seats are folded. Second-row passengers can also slide and recline their seats for maximum comfort. The driver and front passenger will be delighted by the Zero-Gravity seats that help to eliminate body fatigue on long drives. 

Price, Trim Levels, And Standard Tech

The 2025 QX55 starts at just $51,500 and is available in three different trim levels: Luxe, Essential, and Sensory. All models feature a standard 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower display, plus Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. There are four USB ports throughout the cabin, with two Type-C and Type-A ports for each row. Stepping up to the Essential and Sensory trims gets buyers a Bose Performance Series audio system with 16 speakers.

INFINITI also thought about safety before all else, which is why the QX55 comes standard with Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, and High Beam Assist. With standard ProPILOT Assist, drivers can let the car worry about keeping them centered in their lane and take on accelerating and braking while driving on the highway. Essential and Sensory trims further add Traffic Sign Recognition and Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, with Sensory models also getting a head-up display.
