The INFINITI New Car Warranties 

Every new 2024 and 2025 INFINITI model comes standard with a 48-month, 60,000-mile warranty that you would call the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Each new model also has a 72-month, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty. The basic, or bumper-to-bumper warranty is what covers the body or the simple parts of the car, while the powertrain warranty is what covers the more intricate details, such as the engine, transmission, and the like.  

What Is Covered Under the Basic Warranty? 

The basic warranty covers everything that would be seen as a potential defect or something that wears out faster than it should, such as various materials. For instance, a radio should function pretty much for the life of the car. However, if the buttons suddenly decide to not work due to an issue within the first 4 years or 48,000 miles of ownership, that very well could be covered under the factory warranty. As INFINITI puts it, “The warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of all parts and components of each new INFINITI vehicle supplied by INFINITI.” 

What Is Covered Under the Powertrain Warranty  

A vehicle’s powertrain warranty goes more in-depth when it comes to what is and isn’t covered. So, what is covered? 

• Engine 

• • Cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, valve/rocker covers and oil pan, valve train and front cover, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, water pump and fuel pump, fuel injectors, intake and exhaust manifolds, flywheel, seals and gaskets. 

• Transmission and transaxle  

• • Case and all internal parts, torque converter and converter housing, automatic transmission control module, transfer case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets, clutch cover and housing, automatic transmission cooler, and electronic transmission controls. 

• Drivetrain 

• • Drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts, universal joints, bearings, seals, and gaskets. 

• Restraint system 

• • Airbags and related electronic control systems. 

What is Something That Wouldn’t Be Covered? 

Some things that are not typically covered under a vehicle’s factory warranty are wear and tear items, such as brake pads, brake rotors, suspension, components, tires along with tire rotations, fluid flushes, oil changes, or things that have been abused or misused. For example, if you don’t change your oil for 30,000 miles and your engine blows up, that will most likely not be covered under the warranty. If you take your car and jump a big ramp off-road and break your suspension, that’s not really something INFINITI will be able to replace for free.
