INFINITI Is Here To Stay

The automotive world can be a volatile place. One year, a car is available, and within a few years, sales start to drop, and the vehicle is dropped from the lineup altogether. While INFINITI sales were down in 2024, according to Motor1, Nissan has made it clear that the luxury brand is absolutely here to stay.  

Top Notch Vehicles 

INFINITI recently released the all-new 2025 QX80, which features a brand-new engine, amazing technology, brilliant safety features, and top-notch off-road abilities and features. The rest of the lineup, the QX50, QX55, and QX60, are all heralded as excellent luxury vehicles that compare favorably against their top competition.  

New Nissan CEO 

Ponz Pandikuthira, Nissan Americas Chief Planning Officer, said at an event held by Nissan, “You don’t invest in a car like QX80 if you’re planning to walk away from INFINITI as a brand. Stay tuned for growth to the INFINITI portfolio.” Automotive News has also reported that INFINITI plans to make an electric version of the QX60. Whether it will be fully electric or a plug-in hybrid is unknown.  

Nissan E-Power 

Thanks to Nissan E-Power, INFINITI could take advantage of such technology to more easily and quickly adapt their current models to pure EV or PHEV (plug-in hybrid vehicle). As of right now, it takes Nissan as long as 55 months, which is almost 5 years, to develop and engineer a new vehicle. This is according to Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa, who also says he wants to bring that number down to 37 months for new vehicles and then 30 months for special models, such as an electric or hybrid version.  

An Extra Fresh Lineup Is Coming 

While INFINITI currently offers just four models, the brand is looking to give customers more options to provide the best luxury lineup that anyone can fall in love with. The company has also shown beautiful concepts like the Vision Qe Concept, which offers a fresh look at what a new coupe and sedan would look like, taking over where the old G and Q line of vehicles left off. We look forward to what INFINITI has in store to continue as one of the best luxury automotive brands for sale.
